| Acoustical sound is sensed by a microphone and converted to an analog electrical signal. The signal is then transferred to the mi8 input via a standard mic cable. | ![]() | Inside the mi8 (input) the analog audio signal is amplified by a mic pre-amp, converted to digital audio by analog to digital converters, and then reformatted for multicast transmission on the Momentum network. | ![]() | The networked audio is now available to all output devices on the Momentum network. | ![]() | The mo8 (output) is the reverse of the input process. Transmissions from the Momentum network are converted to digital audio and then back to analog audio. | ![]() | The signal is amplified by the output amplifiers and sent through the sound system for conversion to acoustical sound. |
